Using an arch, a curved structural member spanning an opening or recess, creates a bigger volume for the space and helps the air circulation. In Cappadocia region, which is located in the middle of Anatolia, people have been living in arch rooms for thousands of years. When they didn't have suitable rocks to carve cave rooms, they constructed arch rooms which are even safer against nature's power.
