Cappadocia, which means 'Land of beautiful horses', is such a unique holiday resort due to Mother Nature's overwhelming generosity. Mount Erciyes, the second highest volcano of Turkey, has sent lots of lava and ash to Cappadocia region. These lava and ash mountains have been swept away by wind and the land is shaped by rivers, streams, rain, snow and ice. Erosion has created an unsurpassed supernatural landscape.

Being strategically placed on the cross-roads of major communication and trading routes like the Silk Road, Cappadocia became home to many different civilizations over the centuries. The Hittite empire was the first big civilization which left traces on Cappadocia. They were followed by Persian, Roman, Byzantine (Eastern Roman), Seljuk and Ottoman Empires.

The main reason for being choosen by many people was the natural formation of Cappadocia. The caves and easily carved rock canyons and peaks which afforded efficient protection from predatory animals and invaders, attracted many people to settle in the region. The mild climate also incited many to come here. Among them were the early Christians who even received a visit from Saint Paul.

We invite you to plunge deep into the Cappadocian culture. Live in fairy-chimneys, feel the culture with its people, food, music and handicrafts as well as going into its landscape and vistas with our guiding services and other activities.
